This is a simple dress I made for my friend for Christmas, and my parents encouraged me to enter it into this competition. I came up with the original design when just doodling in class, but it turned into a more defined sketch and eventually I designed the dress! Because I am a 14-year-old girl, this is one of the first outfits I’ve designed and made myself.
It is rather simple with only two seams at the sides and a loop at the top for the cord around the neckline, which makes it very easy to sew. It can be worn either as a dress or a tunic.
Here my friend is modelling the dress in our school with a cord belt.
Satin for fabric, white cord for neckline and belt.
