Coat for Pilar

Added Feb 6, 2014

This is a coat I made for my mother-in-law (she’s modeling it) as a Christmas present.
I used Burdastyle pattern #103 from august 2013 issue. It’s a very simple shape but with an interesting collar (I used the pockets from #102 from the same issue).
The fabric is an amazing double-face boiled wool, I used the brown side as the main side and the orange/rust one on the facing and pocket details.
The coat is lined with a rust coloured lining and we chose wood buttons to stay with the autumnal colour theme.
Read more about it on my blog.

Thanks Ellen! Good thing it was a size too big for me or I would have kept it ;) But it definitely looks better on my mother-in-law!
