Description

A coat for my daughter. It’s fully lined and double-breasted.

Material Notes

Outer shell was salvaged from a rather ugly curtain I got as a hand-me-down, underlined with black cotton salvaged from an old duvet cover. Lining and buttons were purchased new. :)

Aww thank you all for the lovely comments. I should have put, the pattern is Simplicity 2876. I someday hope to be drafting my own patterns (or at least variations) but so far… not yet.

Lovely coat, well done! I just checked out your blog, especially since you don’t live that far from where I live. I sent you an email.

Your resourcefulness is wonderful, I really like what you have done with these coats. I hope your girls get great joy out of wearing what mum made for them.

This coat is sooo lovely. I want one for myself. Did you use a certain pattern or did you draft it yourself?
