This is a coat I made in January. It is pretty simple. I made the pattern myself – with some peeking at other patterns. I will upload it in few days. I made a step by step sewing on my blog which one can use as instructions.

I love the collar and the pleats – positively sculptural! And the funky self-covered buttons. And it looks so comfortable too. Thanks for the notes, because I’m a novice, so I need all the help I can get! I’m going to check out your blog. Thank you for posting this.

Hey thanks guys! OfficeBusyBody I liked the coat without the collar too – I think I have an image on my blog. I will make a two collar possibilities in the pattern. I think one can make it in a think summer fabric too.

Looks great, especially to keep out winter winds. The design is very well made and really suits you (I wish I could wear high necked jackets but I look stumpy in them). Nice choice of colours for the lining too!
