Hello everybody, this is my first coat I ever made, it is made this year somewhere in January, it took me a while to finish, due all kind of First Times: a coat, lining a coat, the closing with the hide button closure.
After I had a long night headache with understanding the closure instructions…but i did understand them :), I found this tutorial https://mezzocouture.wordpress.com/2010/10/24/hidden-button-closures-are-difficult/#comment-938 , It was much better to find it before making the closure but maybe someone will find this also useful.
The coat has a kind of tie thing behind that looks on the front side as 2 pockets . I had to omit that as I find it to heavy in the fabric I used, but without that the gathers can be better seen on the back.
Thank you for reading, xx

Thank you. No special occasion, just want it so much to try making a coat :) ( a little bit “out of my league kind of thing”, to see if I can manage it)

What a great coat you made, unbelievable, that this is your first one! And I don’t remember that they featured such a nice coat pattern in their magazine – probably your version is better than the original! Now I have to put this coat on my list of future sewing projects!

Yes, is a nice model. In the magazine was made in a dogtooth fabric, not easy to see the details, so you might have just skip it. Thank you for your nice words.
