Inverted box pleats and a tulip shape add verve to this coat and underscore it’s slim cut. (taken from the description in the aug 2007 Burda World of Fashion )

The coat is in progress here. I photographed it to show my daughter how lovely the seams had matched in the back bodice and skirt. I made a self fabric belt with a n antique bronze pull through belt buckle and antique bronze buttons for the closures. It turned out well and my daughter has had many compliments . It was the first pattern from Burda that I have ever used. I LOVED making it !!! I made several things from this issue.

Love the coat, and kudos on the matching of the print! Fabulous! Where did you find the brocade fabric used?
