Hurrah! I’ve finished my So Very Blue :-) Had this grey jersey lying around (not really sure what type of jersey it is, but it doesn’t feel like regular cotton jersey), so decided to put it to good use. I love this pattern, it’s sensible and comfy at the same time, seems easy to style up or down :D For some strange reason, I feel compelled to stick a brooch into this dress every time I wear it haha.. so this time I wore it with a vintage doe brooch I got from a flea market near my office. The bag is from my best friend Jean who is incidentally my fashion guruji too hehe

so lovely! I really like the way you styled it as well. Did you still use interfacing for the yoke like the pattern says?

thanks heaps! no i didn’t use the interfacing, i’m a ding dong and i got confused with the instructions halfway so i just cut 2 pieces of each yoke, 1 for the lining and 1 for the outer. and joined them together. also i was a bit worried the interfacing might make it a bit stiff, but then again it looks good on other people’s versions.. so probably it’s up to how u want it i guess? :-)

thank you! i think the dressiness probably comes from the greyness of it all.. :P

It’s a very nice dress! I don’t know why, but I prefer that one than the original. Did you change anything? Or maybe it’s the fabric…

thanks! hmm maybe it’s the fabric.. also, i didn’t have a lot of fabric leftover for the skirt section, so the gathers a lil less compared to the original i think..
