Description

Babycord shift dress with button placket and lining.

Mods – topstitched the neckline, placket slightly longer, extra reinforcing at base of placket, supplied beautiful buttons swapped for cheap and cheerful pink plastic.

Accidentally ripped one buttonhole too long :( Won’t make that mistake again.

Material Notes

materials as provided by clothkits – a turquoise cotton baby needlecord and an upgrade to Liberty print lining.

Thank you! I’ve only recently started sewing again, some 30 years after my “o” level needlework, and this was a great confidence builder.

There are.nt.many.fabric shops here.either.which.did.nt.help. I found a fab fabric shop on holiday a.couple of.years back and bought loads. I hav.nt.stopped.since.and.now.i find.ebays a good source for fabric. Keep going x.
