Using elements of both BWOF 02/09 106 and 105 this shirt dress aims to be both classic and sophisticated. Details in the seaming are emphasised by by top stitching in gold which compliments the gold navy style buttons. I found that the placement of the buttons made the slit at the front a bit too high and put too much pressure on the buttons across the bust and at the base so I attached a open end zipper to the inside of the self facing from just under the second button to just below the final button. The zipper adds alot of extra stability in the closure and is completely invisible from the outside.
A thick, tightly woven cotton purchased from Tessuti Fabrics.
