Classic trousers created from Joost’s amazing new online pattern generator at MakeMyPattern.com
For this pair I adapted the front pocket shape, added a watch pocket and made faux welt pockets on the back.
Huge thanks to Joost for his inspiration and encouragement to finally start putting up some of my projects on Burdstyle !

Very nice trousers. I’ve made garments out of a cotton/linen. It’s really a great fabric. You got a great fit on your trousers. They’re really well made. Nicely done!

They look great! My husband wants me to make him a pair of jeans and unfortunately the “dag factor” seems to be very high in all the patterns I’ve seen :(

Thanks very much Jenny :) I really can’t recommend enough that you take have a look at Joost’s http://makemypattern.com site – I’ve just made a pair of jeans style trousers from the classic trouser block that his site will generate from the measurements you enter, just a little adaption adding a yoke at the back of the pants instead of sewing darts in the two back pieces.. i’ll be uploading some info and close up photos of these soon… no dag factor when you have a great block to work from and create something well fitted and unique :)
