A simple, but fitted sheath dress in a classic royal blue colour. I made this more fitted around the waist than the pattern by adding in some vertical darts in the back and taking in the side seams quite a bit to get it to sit quite close to my body, but kept the flowiness of the skirt. I also lengthened the dress by about 10cm so it would be appropriate to wear to work. I love the look of the original pattern, but the shapeless mini shift is not very flattering on my body shape. Before writing this, I have spent half an hour or so reading your blog and I really enjoyed all of your posts. You are such a busy Mum!! All that beautiful sewing and 2 children!! Well done. I really like this dress and you have inspired me to get out of the cupboard, my piece of navy Ponti that sits waiting to be transformed. Thanks for all of your adjustment tips, they will be helpful to me. I have made the top version and I love it, so this won’t be difficult to make up.
