This is the second coat I made at the Artisanal Dressmaking class I attended two months ago.
The class was quite tiring (3 hours per evening, three evenings per week, after the usual 8 hours per day at work…) but it was very interesting!!! I learnt a lot of things and maybe I’ll follow also the advanced class next year!

I can imagine it must have been very tiring, however, the jacket as work-in-progess looks great. Did you finish it yet? And in fact, I agree with your statement: if you can make a tailored jacket, and make it the old-fashioned way like you’ve done at this class, you can make anything. Great work, and I look forward to seeing more of your creations!

Thank you! :)
I didn’t finish it: this is as far as we went at the class (in italian it’s “seconda prova”, I think in english is something like “second fitting trial”). According to my teacher (a retired tailor, one of the best in Milan!!!) we have to learn perfectly to make the coat in second fitting trial before going on, and for sure a two-months class is not enough to learn all that apprentices learn in years and years of work in an artisanal tailor’s laboratory. :)
