Blogged about this here
I knew when I stumbled upon this fabric that it would become a summer dress. I finally got around to it this week, and here is the result. It’s lovely and lightweight. The front and back bodice pieces are doubled, while the skirt is gathered under the bust. The little accent bow was added to hide a little flaw in the topstitching.
This dress is comfy and easy to wear – if only the weather would warm up a little to actually take advantage of wearing it!
2 1/2 metres of floral printed cotton, purchased from Fabricville in Montreal. Notions: zipper.

This is something I really want to make: the really high waist, the cute little sleeves, the calico print. I am super in love with your dress.

ooo… this is sooo lovely and girly. I love the shape of this dress. What pattern did you use or did you draft it yourself?

I drafted it, in the loosest sense. The skirt pieces are just rectangles, 24×29 each, and the bodice is just the most basic bodice piece that you would find with many patterns, no sleeves, no darts.
The sleeves were an invention with what little fabric I had left, and I ended up gathering them when I realized they were too puffy. Sorry I can’t be of more helping in steering you toward an actual pattern, but if it helps, the bodice piece I go to is from BurdaStyle 7/2010 tunic top. Hope this helps :)
