I’ve had this project in mind for a while, I think it started when I saw the skirt Jupe Klara made by mathildeaparis.
I thought: the day I have an overlocker, I will make this and plenty of ruffles of all kinds! (I mean, with the rolled-hem feature… it is fantastic!!!)
It’s not exactely the same though: I first made a simple black knit skirt with a waistband, and along the waistband I gathered a 3m wide chiffon rectangle. I made the seam under the ruffles so it has a “paperbag waist” touch.
The gathered chiffon is cute, it flows in the wind… Makes me think of a ballerina skirt. I love wearing it, I play all day long with the chiffon!
Jersey, chiffon, thread.
