I’m working on two vintage dress patterns at the moment so this skirt was a bit of light relief.
I got the fabric from my friend Catherine at Hepwrights Vintage. I would like to have made the gathers a bit bigger but I just had to work with the limited amount of fabric that I had.
I adapted the waistband from Prudence Rabbits Obi Skirt, the skirt section is just 3 rectangles and I added some pockets.
You can see in the pictures that I am subtly trying out my new camera remote
Vintage find from Hepwrights vintage. It's just cotton with some circus type people in the woods with bunting. This skirt had cearly been something else in a previous life as some edges were overlocked and you could still see some stitch marks.

Also, I love the lantern, it´s amazing… do you just have it in your yard? Is it yours?

Thanks, the lantern just sits in the back garden, it has a little black top that goes on but it kept coming off in the winter winds. I guess I can put it back on now it’s spring.
I occassionally consider sprucing it up with a lick of fresh paint but I kind of like it’s battered look :)
