This project is based on the Square One-Piece dress from my favorite Japanese sewing book, “Easy, cute, Straight Stitch Sewing.”
Unfortunately, it’s not translated into English, and I can’t read Japanese so it takes a little bit longer than normal for me to interpret the instructions. I should’ve followed the diagrams and not cut the fabric on the fold, because the print ended up not being “straight” on one half of the garment, but in the end I think it isn’t terribly noticeable. A lighter weight linen would probably work very well.
All the projects are based on very simple geometric shapes, so it’s just a matter of taking the plunge and going for it! The isbn # is 9784471400682 if anyone wants to try to find it online.
It's time to enter for our grand prize, an EX100 machine PLUS a trip to Nashville!
