The pattern (#133, Burda 5/2012) is a reprint of an afternoon tea dress pattern from Burda Moden 5/1961.
This dress is all about the back and I really like the way it came out.

Your fabric is just fantastic – even more in the detail! Did you use elastic fabric or is it ok with a non-elastic one? And your sewing is very clean. Thanks to the style of your pictures you can allways say it´s yours at first sight and it´s ALWAYS worth to have a closer look. Love the retro look of your clothes. And the perfect finishing!!

Thank you so much for your kind words :).
It’s the non-elastic one. However, I cut it on the bias.

Sure, there’s no problem with the bra at all! It doesn’t stick out.
Thank you very much :).

Ohh that was my favourite dress in that issue. I liked both versions (old in black/white dots and new in velvet) and am pleased to see how yours has turned out. Very pretty. This dress is definitely on my to do list now !!

Your dress is beautiful and I too am glad to see it sewn in cotton. It makes this dress seem less formal and yet I am sure you will be able to wear it to many special occasions.

Very nice! I loved this in the magazine but I hate sewing with velvet so it’s nice to see that it can succeed in a friendlier fabric! You look radiant in this!

I’m not a party-goer, I would have no use of a velvet dress.
Thank you very much :).
