This was my very first project and it was a success!
I used this tutorial: http://www.danamadeit.com/2008/07/tutorial-the-circle-skirt.html
I used a silky fabric. The result was beautiful, but the fabric was difficult to work with and is fraying. I do not own a serger so I just folded the fabric over and hemmed it. Next time I will stitch around the edge before hemming.
I also dyed my elastic to match. I was aiming for black, not realizing that true black is hard to obtain. The grey turned out great though!
