It’s hot out there and all we can think of is sitting on a beach, a pool, a lake, just something to cool of our overheated minds and bodies. If vacation is still to come or you still have a week to wait till you can visit your friends at the lake house, spend the time dreaming about it, while making the hottest bathing suit around this season.
This wonderful two piece suits most body types, due to its forgiving shape.

I’m a size 16 and love this! Will you be doing it in a larger size? Dx

This is a very stylish suit. I like the look.
But I think that what several of us are trying to ascertain is “will I look fat in that suit?”

Hey, I get that but no reason to put down Anna. But maybe its just their own insecurities playing out?!
I would imagine that the ruching design would be flattering and very forgiving. Here’s hoping it looks great on all those willing to give it a go! xxXxx

I think it will add appearance lbs. lot of excess fabric.
The model is gorgeous but I think unrealistic unless you weigh 85 lbs. with no discernable curves. I honestly don’t think it would be slimming if that was the intent.

Wow, this is gorgeous! I think its adorable and I’d like to say that I think your model is gorgeous too! As a size 8 (UK) I consider myself a ‘real woman’ thank-you very much!
I would like to say that in my opinion , I think the model is showing this swimsuit off splendidly! Also I’d like to hear what the ‘ladies’ claiming she is too thin or somehow unreal think she would feel if she was to read these comments and see what you have said??
Can’t wait to get sewing this, just hope it looks as good on me!! Thanks for this pattern, xXX

I mean “ruching.”

It’s alright. At first I thought the ruffle was on the hem of the top and I liked that. I’m not big on ruffled bottoms. If I make this I would probably have to change it.
I love the neckline and the rouching though.

This is beautiful! I wont have time to make it for this season though. =( The thought of starting classes again in 2 weeks is killing my summer mood…

I really love the pattern, it’s adorable! However, it’s hard to see it when your model does not show what it would realistically look like on a woman’s body. Get Alden in this suit, she’s a gorgeous model! Thanks for the pattern, BurdaStyle.

Hi Nuiwida23
We are glad you like the suit.
We also agree that Alden is an absolute gorgeous woman, no wonder we have her all over our site.
We also think that Anna is very beautiful and a real woman. Our team consists of all sizes, we all feel feminine in our ways and are strong women, no matter what size or height.

Exactly how is this lady not a real woman? I think she is stunningly beautiful.
Looking at your purple bathing suit, which is gorgeous by the way =) I’d say the model is probably only a dress size smaller than you. So are you a real woman?

I think you misunderstood me. I would never think that this model is not beautiful or a “real woman”. She is gorgeous and just as feminine as any other woman. I was simply saying that I enjoy seeing BurdaStyle’s wonderful creations on women that perhaps represent a more “average” size. I apologize if anyone thought I was discriminating against Anna, or anyone her size.

Hi Ladies,
I am glad you like the bathing suit. We had a lot of fun making it. Larissa didn’t like the fabric that Alison and I had picked and loved, so she just turned it inside out. We ended up liking the result much more and as I can tell, you like it too!

This is so cute! By the way, I love that the instructions include photographs. This is the first pattern I’ve looked at since the website went Beta, so I’m not sure if all the instructions have photos now, but I think that’s a very considerate change and a huge help :)
