I used the Cindy bathing suit pattern but extended the front and back pieces to turn in from a tankini to a full pin-up styled bathing suit. I also extend more on the back piece to have the back panels ruffled like the front (although I should have added more) and eliminated the skirt. It is still a 2-piece but with the top pulled down to the hips, it appears to be a one piece. I also turned the spaghetti straps in to a 2 inch halter strap. Inspirations for alteration from:
