A slim-cut, knee length coat in wool fabric. I used a Burda 10/2007 pattern for Petites. Initially I used the pattern for a coat for my mom and I liked it so much that made one for myself. I love the plaid silk for lining. Lately I’ve been using silk fabrics for lining instead of polyester. Gives it a feeling of luxury. I love working on coats. Started by just wanting a nice one in 100%wool and I wasn’t willing to pay for ones made with blends with a very small percentage of wool in them.
100% wool, silk for lining, buttons

I think every woman should have a red coat hanging next to her little black dress in the wardrobe!
