Description

Some pajama pants for my brother-in-law’s girlfriend. I figure she probably has no idea about this site, which is why I think it’s safe to post these :)

I started with a pattern (Simplicity 4889), but realized how humungous they would have been once I had cut them. So, I shrunk them quite a bit and adjusted as I thought necessary. I also took the waist down a bit (it was very very high), and added the satin trim and a patch pocket. I would not recommend this pattern… :) There have to be better ones out there, but it’s extremely hard to tell from the pictures/descriptions.

See my blog for more info

Material Notes

Flannel, ribbon, poly satin for the trim, elastic, interfacing

Love the pants, love the fabric and love the detail work! As for the pattern, Simplicity is never right on the measurements and every pant pattern I have ever used from them has to have a crotch length shortened, so I agree with you totally on not recommending this pattern. However, with that said, your pj pants turned really, really pretty!

They still came out pretty! What about Burdastyle’s thai pants for next time?
