I made this group of owls for Joe and stuffed them all into a box that was 3″×3″×3″ and mailed them to America. I used the Burda pattern, just a lot bigger. It worked on some of them, but the different fabrics made each one quite different to sew and stuff.
From left to right:
Donkey Owl, back made from black felt and scrap of donkey fabric found in attic for front
Brown Owl, brown felt front and burgundy corduroy from old pants for back
Plaid Owl, scrap from old table cloth front, cut off scraps from blue cargo cut offs on back
Floral Owl, pin-tucked bib from worn out shirt on front, corduroy pants for back
Cowboys & Indians Owl, old 80’s yellow t-shirt on front, scrap of cowboys and indians pj’s flannelet
Grey Owl, weird grey fabric for front, cut off pants for back
Checked Owl, scrap from attic of printed cotton, black felt for back
Felt made from recycled plastic bottles, pieces of various worn out clothing, scraps of bought fabric.
