Update: Finished the dress with a week to go until the wedding! Per all your suggestions, I shortened the hem line and it looks great! I apologize for the fuzzy photo. My fiancee is not a great photographer!
My friend is getting married in 3 weeks, and its a formal affair. I don’t have anything to wear and fell in love with this fabric, so I made this dress. I haven’t finished the hem because I haven’t decided whether or not I want to keep it long, or shorten the dress. Any thoughts?

Wow this is a gorgeous dress! Love the colour :-) I always think that for weddings, knee length cocktail-dress style is best, that way you dont get confused with bridesmaid dress lengths etc… x

It looks nice, but it would be better to see, if you should shorten if you would wear it :)

It’s hard to say whether it’d look better long or shorter…because I don’t know how long it is to begin with! Beautiful fabric and very nice shape, though. It seems like it would be nice just below the knee.
