MMMM!! I love Cupcakes and Christmas!!! For work I wanted to make a set of scrubs to wear and when I saw this fabric I just had to have it!. I took candy cane fabric and zig-zagged the edges with silver, which took forever so the thread wouldn’t break (which it did a couple times). I gathered it and sewed it down in the middle. I added inseam pockets and other fun pockets. I love pockets at work. The one pocket I sewed pin tucks to make it look like a cupcake wrapper and the others I added a scallop. I tried the pockets on the side of the scrubs instead of the front. It worked pretty well. The neckline, the sleeves, and the bottom all have seam binding to keep them sturdy. I added a bow and a gather slightly off to the side of the middle.
The pants this time I added a slit to the bottom and attempted inseam pockets. I placed them a little too low, so I added snaps to keep them properly shut. I traced a scrub top and bottom and altered them how I see fit.
Top: Christmas sparkle cupcake fabric, candy cane fabric, silver & red thread, red seam binding. Bottom: red fabric, green thin seam binding, snaps, red thread.
