I was thrilled when I found this fabric in a remnant bin for a fraction of the cost per metre. It was screaming to be made into something festive but it was an odd length and I couldn’t decide whether to make it into a top (leaving potentially a lot of wasted fabric) or a party frock (but without enough fabric to make much more make than a sleeveless dress) — so I decided to make both. Now I have not just one but 3 holiday outfits and more room in my suitcase for Christmas presents – JOY!
This project has made me eager to design more 2 or 3 for 1 outfits — more on this on my blog which will be up and running in the new year.

Lovely! Did you use patterns? If so which ones? Also did you make the gold top too and what pattern did you use?

I drafted my own (for the grey skirt and top!) Sorry I should have made more clear the top is not my own make (have to credit H&M ;) The trousers are store bought as well. Thank you for the comments!
