I made two Chinese silk brocade jackets using Burda’s 02/2012’s pattern no. 112. The silk brocade fabric and lining was bought in Hong Kong in a traditional Chinese department store. I made a long version using black brocade with green lining and another short version for my mom using lime brocade and pink lining. The brocade fabric was underlined with cotton flannel for warmth and support. Lining was sewn to the jacket using hand slipstitches. I also made the frog closures myself.
