I had a small end of gorgeous embroidered satin left over and thought this would make a lovely necklace to complement the obi belt (http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/embroidered-satin-obi-belt) I made recently.
I used some Fun Buttons for the discs in the necklace, then I loosely gathered the fabric between each disc and secured it with a few stitches. I didn’t want it too tight because I like the folds the heavy satin creates. Then I simply added a stud closing and a pretty vintage mother-of-pearl button on top. I left the self edge open and unfinished – I like using the self edge in projects if it is a pretty one.
Some satin, thread, stud closing, pretty button, Galt Fun Buttons (approx. £5 on Amazon for a box).
