I received some Chinese silk for a present and it was the perfect length to make this pencil skirt. I really like the shape of the finished skirt. I ironed the godet to the inside but it swings out nicely when I walk. However I’m not really used to wearing such fitted clothing so I find it a little difficult to walk in – it’s for wearing on an evening out rather than to the office!

Stated with all the best intentions- you should learn to walk in that skirt because it’s beautiful!!! You look great in it, and the top seems paired with it perfectly! I would wear that everywhere!!

It looks very nice, especially styled like this, with that soft top with its retro feel. However, I know what you mean about the difficulty of walking in a pencil skirt.
