The dress code was ‘hint of the orient’… I put chopsticks in my hair…
I made this dress a little inspiration from the afternoon tea top. It’s a touch too long but I decided to have a manicure on the day of the ball rather than turn it up again!
There are some other imperfections too but I don’t think that they are noticable (e.g. the side seams for the top and the skirt don’t match, they are about 1cm out each side)
Over all, I am proud of it, I bit off a little more than I could chew and I spent more hours than planned on it… but it didn’t fall down when I danced so I was happy!
Some satin type affair

Love, love, love this! Way to not get so hung up on the details that you didn’t enjoy it- can’t even see the “imperfections” you pointed out. It looks awesome.

Thank you – I thought it might be too shiny… I nearly backed out and reversed the fabric so it wasn’t but I was brave in the end!
