Description

From a New Look pattern using a printed cotton. I used a bright turquoise velvet ribbon for the button loops and ties. I spent a fair amount of time cursing whilst making the neck opening as I’d lost the instructions so was trying to figure out where all the billions of facing pieces went. But I got there in the end and I think it’s a pretty little top for spring.

The top is really cute but the buttons add the perfect touch.

I love this, it´s so nice! I can imagine making the neck opening and the collar is quite difficult…

The buttons were from my local craft shop in Carlisle. They’re gorgeous aren’t they? They’re engraved and painted mother of pearl, I’ll be going back for more of them! Thanks for your lovely comments :)

Lovely buttons! Glad you figured out the facings; I wouldn’t have known they were tricky from the final product. Good job. :)
