Thought that the Children’s Blouson Jacket patternwould be a good starting point for making a coat for my niece. The coat is made from some leftover pieces of embroidered wool, some ribbed jersey and cacha lining, and a little piece of corduroy. I really didn’t change the overall pattern that much, just the pockets and collar. I lined the collar with the ribbing to match the cuffs and hem. The pockets are lined with the purple cacha lining. And I used Prym snap fasteners down the front.
UPDATE: My little niece had a growth spurt of about 3 1/2 inches. So sadly this jacket no longer fits her. It’s now going to another little girl who could use a coat.
The lines of Greek architecture inspire this neutral and pastel collection.
