Every year my friends and i make each others christmas presents, last year i made them underwear but this year i thought id do night wear, this is one of the nighties i made using chiffon with a trim across the edge and i put a floral stitch around the hem and arm holes. It hangs off the shoulders and drapes. Apologies for the rubbish photo. I was quite happy with the way it came out although my sewing machine didnt seem to like sewing the chiffon very much.

I used the azalea pattern as a starting point and altered it so that i just had 2 pattern pieces, made it shorted and adjusted the neck edge.

      thank you, i actually used the azalea pattern as a basis and kind of made it up from there, i shortened it and joined the pattern pieces so that the top part was not separate, i also altered the neck edge a bit so that it hung lower down, hope this helps x

    Aw, it’s so beautiful and feminine!!!! I love chiffon (even though it’s a pain to work with, as far as I know) and this is an amazing design to make out of it!!!
