I made this dress for a friend, who’s a school teacher and mom to two little girls. She needed something that can take some wear-and-tear, so we chose a medium-weight striped denim. I made it using a vintage pattern, but altered it to cut the pieces on the bias and make the chevron shape. Since it’s on the bias, I didn’t need to insert a zipper.
I also tried bound button holes for the first time! I used Gertie’s technique, which is super easy. I really dig the button holes.
