Costume pieces for a cat, or other fur clad animal.
Instructions on how to make a:
fitted furry hat with ears,
belt with a tail,
and leg warmers.
I made mine with ribbons to tie them on rather than elasticizing the cuffs and leg warmers. You can button them on, tie w/ribbons, or do what ever else you’d like to personalize these pieces.
I preferred the ribbon because it took less time, and I made all this in about 3 1/2 days for a friend to go to be a face-painter at an elementary school Halloween carnival. Allot yourself at least 4 to 5 days to accomplish this project.
•Furry fabric (I ordered 1yd and used about 3/4 of it)
•Lining- needs to be stretchy as many furry fabrics aren’t, and you want your hat to stay on.
•2 rolls of 1/4" Ribbon
•Lighter to singe ends of ribbon
•Newspaper for pattern drafting
**and your scissors of course.
