Burda Style For people who sew

Description

This change mat was super easy and took me a total of about half an hour to cut and sew. My original idea included making some bias binding to go around the outside but I lacked the motivation and wanted something super quick to make since I haven’t done a sewing project in a while! And now I like it better with the stitching border because it shows off the fabric more :)
My first project for the new baby we’re expecting in October. I made a solemn promise to my husband not to make or buy any baby things until we found out the sex of the baby… and now that we know we’re having a little girl I’m in “gorgeous but useful things” heaven :)

Material Notes

pink padded vinyl with white footprints (a rectangle about 50cms x 80cms) from Spotlight some pretty paisley cotton that I've had in my fabric stash for a really long time and didn't want to cut up! (a rectangle about 4 cms bigger on each side than the vinyl piece)
