Burda Style For people who sew

I have been waiting for activity feed to work again in order to post this but it’s been almost a week and I am getting restless…
Burgundy is one of my favourite colours, the amazing trimming was something I already had so I bought a matching cotton mix… They stayed quite a while on my shelf waiting for me to decide on the design. Technically there’s a lot of gathering and edges finished in tight small zig-zag, the band around the neck is done up to a point the same way as described in Heart square neckline technique. I love how the cropped back turned out, all I can say is that when the front and back details were done I was really happy they were DONE :D
I briefly blogged this here and it’s also available in my etsy shop , I didn’t put the “for sale” label here coz personally I find it intimidating:D, I’d love to get your feedback on how it appeals to you:)

I too adore this colour and it looks fabulous on you. This is so beautiful – the ruffles on the cut outs on the back and on the neckline are exquisite, and your hard work and effort was definitely worth it. The contrasting gold fabric adds so much to it. Just beautiful! I don’t know how you can bear to sell it but am sure it will be snapped up quick.
I can sympathise with the struggle of getting a husband to take photos!

This is so beautiful! I am glad you posted it despite the hiccups in the Activity Feed. It will be back up again shortly. The Activity Feed has been problematic recently and we are working on solving the problem at the root to prevent frequent disruptions in the future.

the hem is tight small zig-zag like on most other edges, the meaning of “something” might be hasty ironing and not enough preparation as getting my husband in the after noon sun and keeping him there pressing the shutter enough times is quite a challenge and a chance that once i get i cannot waste!:)) Or at least i hope it’s that! :)) I’m glad you like it!
