Microwaveable Heating Pad for your aches and pains – or as a bed warmer on chilly winter evenings. You can either heat it up in the microwave (2 minutes at 400 Watt), put it in the oven, or cool it down in the freezer. The cushion holds its temperature for about thirty minutes, and it’s cuddly enough to place directly against your body.
The design of this cushion was inspired by the gingerbread hearts you find at German fairs and Christmas markets. The embroidery is a German term of endearment, comparable to the English “darling”.
Important notes: Don’t overheat the cushion in the microwave!
Use store-bought cherry pits only so you can be sure they’re germfree (I slaughered a cheap ready-made cushion). Use cotton materials only. It’s tempting to use fake fur or other synthetic materials, but they aren’t microwaveable.
