I bought this gorgeous vintage blouse pattern on Etsy & was dying to make it up. It is Butterick 8097 from 1953 & it’s fab! I made the 3/4 sleeve version in a Liberty Tana Lawn with a pretty little pint rose print. I wanted a contrast collar & cuffs, so used a plain white lawn.
This is one of my favourite blouses so far, the turn-back cuffs are so cute! The seams are all French, I cut an inner yoke in the white lawn to hide all the seams & it gives stability to the shoulder area. I like that this has side shaping & darts in the front, while the back has gathers over the shoulderblades. It means you can move! A definite favourite with both myself & daughter no2!
