A co-worker asked me to make an apron for her sister. She brought me the fabric and the pattern, which I normally don’t use a pattern when I make aprons, but was up for the challenge. I used Butterick See&Sew b5411 and used view B which has the ruffle on the bottom and on the top of the pockets. She initiallty wanted the rick rack on the pockets and the bottom ruffle but there wasn’t enough to go the full length of the bottom ruffle so it is just on the pockets. I cut an extra bottom ruffle and sewed them together so I didn’t have to fool with hemming that long ruffle. I think it helps give it a little more body too. I love how it turned out, and better yet, so does she!!!
