I saw the Burdastyle 6/13 issue with the matching top and pants pattern #136. I just opted to make the top and used the 4/13 issue pattern #113 for the capris. I like it but I know I’m probably going to get the most use out of this outfit wearing them separately. I can use the blouse with skirts or the pants with a solid colored blouse. Or, I can wear it like it is and use a contrasting colored belt or shoes.
It was super simple and quick to make. The self facing eliminated the need for interfacing and the pleats in the front of the blouse give it a nice shape. The whole thing took just a day to make.
My cat Chaba photobombed the last photo but I love that photo because I love Chaba.
