The blouse has been waiting more than a year to have sleeves attached. Originally I wanted petal sleeves, but now I’m leaning more toward a very short cap.
The reversible skirt was originally constructed with the deep pleat at center front. However, it looks a bit like kind-of clownish shorts when worn like that, so I just wear the skirt off-centered. Next draft I will move the pleat in the pattern.
Both patterns drafted by me from slopers. Designs inspired loosely by Costello Tagliapietra and Marni.
Blouse constructed of chartreuse silk georgette and matching rayon crepe. (Fashion Fabrics Club and vintage, respectively).
Skirt constructed of buffalo plaid handkerchief linen, underlined with silk gazar. (Fashion Fabrics Club and a scrap from an internship).

I really appreciate the color love from you guys! I live for “off” colors like this, but one woman’s chartreuse is another woman’s vomit green…..!

Lovely! Very simple and elegant. Love the colour. I was just saying earlier today that I need to make something in chartreuse!
