I made this necklace for my brother’s girlfriend for her 30th birthday. I stitched it by hand, over a number of evenings. The stitches used are bullion knots, chain stitches, and blanket stitches. The threads were from a 1980s embroidery kit that my mother had never finished, and the felt was hand-dyed to match the thread colours.
I bought a cheap necklace at an accessories store and stitched the embroidered disks together using jump rings.
