Yes – I have made the Charlie! And… drumroll please… I love it! Its so simple, yet stylish and practical. This Charlie was only meant to be a trial – I made it out of calico (its not lined either!) so it is defininately not sturdy enough to hold much weight. I’ve found through experience that calico wears quickly as well. One cloudy day when I was browsing the net, I came across Meridian Angel’s blog and on that blog was this beautiful embroidery. Entranced by this poison apple tree’s elegant simplicity, I printed the picture out and embroidered! I sense that this bag will become a pyjama bag (it just won’t carry weight). Nevertheless I’m definately going to make another one in a heavier fabric. I’ll probably line it as well, and perhaps add a rectangular base.
Calico; 4 round buttons I found in the miracle button tin; 1 gold button I found in my oddments box
