If it’s free, include the actual dimensions on the PDF and I could draw it out on newspaper instead of wasting ink in my printer. Much easier than piecing together 8 1/2 x11’s to form a pattern…just saying

What pattern? I can’t even find anything with pattern pieces or measurements. Burda, I think I will refrain from buying any patterns until your figure a better way to show downloads. The only thing that downloads for me are the picture instructions for sewing. If I could get the pattern I don’t need the silly instructions!!

I have a pole flag banner ( used for the sydney festival ) that i am thinking of reusing into multiple bags.
The material is very silk/satin like…i have seen this material being made into bags in the past.
Is there any points i should keep in mind if i make these myself?
heres a pic of some for those who aren’t familiar with what i’m talking about http://www.flickr.com/photos/hlstepintomyworld/382077836/

I have tried eight times to download the pattern itself. Never could get the pattern to download. The instructions won’t do me any good if I can’t get a pattern. DISAPPOINTED.

had a great time putting this bag together, though i didnt do it 100% true to the directions.
i am a novice in the truest sense of the word… sometimes i cant even get my machine to work right… but i’m learning.
i lined the inside and put some decorative buttons on. came together very quickly and feels quite sturdy. i’ll be using this again!
thanks for posting :D

I hope you’ve gotten the pattern by now, but in case others have this question …
I was frustrated for quite a while because clicking the “Get it now” button got me nowhere. Finally I saw the little “Login” link at the top right corner, signed up as a member, logged in, and voila! I clicked “Get it now” and the pattern was sent to my shopping cart (even though it’s free), where I could download the it with no problem.
Have fun!

I’ve signed in about five times, clicked the “get it now” button more times than that and I get NOTHING!

I don’t get step 7 and 8 either. Did you ever figure it out?
Jan 24, 2010, 05.55 AMby devonviolet
I agree . . . this is an awesome pattern.
For those of you who can’t find the pattern, if you look to the right, of the screen, there is a box that says, “Patterns for this project”. If you click the “Get It” button, it will put the free patten in your Shopping Cart. When you look at it in your Cart, there is a link, that says, “Print the pattern at home”. Click on that, and you will be able download a PDF file, to print out the pattern pieces.
If you want to go back to it later, and it isn’t in your shopping cart, you can click on “View Purchase History”, and it will take you to a list of previous free downloads.
