Two matching stash busting bags!! The denim and crimpelene made the bags too bulky to fold into their pouches. But they’re very sturdy – just the thing for library books and the occasional bottle of whiskey!
I lined the handles because I am too fussy to leave them “unfinished”. I top stitched as well as the crimpelene refused to be pressed.
Denim and orange polka dot crimpelene (very 70's)

I made 4 of these (2 sets of 2) for friends of mine. I made sure to fully line one of each so that they’d have the sturdiness for books and heavy things (especially since one friend said she’d like to use it as a workbag!). Love the colours you have here! Cute cute cute!

Thanks! I thought the next ones I try I might use bias binding around the edges.

They both look great. I think your choice of fabrics is great.

Very cute! I had the same problem, I wanted mine to be of sturdier fabric, but they wouldn’t fit into their pouches, and they weren’t cute enough to post, your’s makes me wanna try again!
