Description

Strapless satin wedding dress with chantilly lace blouse, there is a built in corsett and invisible zipper in center back. The lace blouse is all frenched seamed, I cut the scallop edge off the remaining fabric and hand sewed it to the neckline so I could get the border on both the hem and neck of the blouse. I made the belt with the same satin as the dress and hand stitched it to the side seams and caught it with my machine in the center back when attatching the elastic loops. The center back is finished with pearl buttons on a metal shank. The train has pick ups so the train is out of the way for the reception.

Thanks for the lovely comments she was def one happy bride when she tried it on for her final fitting. Seeing someone so happy is why I keep sewing bridal and evening wear.

Thanks, the lace top was going to be attached but as I went on sewing the satin gown I thought it would be easier to have it seperate. This also allowed for the bride to wear it again on its own just with a cami!

Thanks, a fair amount of planning, patternmaking and calico fittings went into the gown before I even cut the lace. I always check twice cut once! Its a motto I live by, thanks to my dad who’s a cabinet maker hahaha.
