Description
My friend asked me to make her this so i set about finding similiar looking fabric?? She wanted me to make the jacket as close to the burda one as i could!! The only problem was getting the fabric? In the end i found this waffle textured fabric in a charity shop. It started life as a duvet cover. I underlined the jacket then lined it so it had a bit of weight to it. I like it and so does my friend so job done. X

Thanks rita, it really is a great pattern. I can finally do some more of my holiday sewing, we go on the 7th so i’m ok. I have one night tine dress and one day time dress made plus a couple of playsuits lol. Its the perfect oppurtunity to get some nice beach shots.i said to mum last night that we’ll go to altea and alfaz(gorgeous) and get some good photos then have a leisurely liquid lunch, she agreed lol x

Great jacket Mary, I’ve been eyeing this pattern for quit a while now and even bought a very suitable fabric… All I have to do now is start! That’s always the hardest part for me… starting and finishing a project…

Classic things are always in fashion and suit well everybody. Your version is pretty original – I like the texture of the fabric and the bendings are made so skillfully and I like the choice of the colours – one of the best! I’m sure many of us want to add this jacket to the wish-lists now!

Thank you oksana you do say such lovely things . The binding looks dark in the photos but it’s actually royal blue. It took me three goes to get the binding on the bottom as i had three layers to catch in!! i tend to sew fast which was’nt good lol. I’m happy with it though and i highly recommend this pattern x
