I made this project for my Product Design and Technology class at school which I also had to crate a folio for. It took me about 6 weeks to construct because I had to complete most of the sewing in class. I used New Look pattern 6564. I used hooks and eyes instead of buttons for an invisible closure, and I used some simple black braid around the trim. The finished product has a bit of a mexican matador look to it. I am happy with the result!!
I used a pure wool spotted fabric which has alternate sides and a slight nap. It was very pliable and easy to work with. It has a black background with magenta polka dots.
