My lovely young client was in love with this Chanel design, and even that I only like to make originals, this dress was so beautifull………..that I could not say no. Made in 2 pieces: the dress with a strapless bodice made in 4 ply silk where the skirt hangs from. The skirt is made in lovely silk organza with habotai lining where required. The embroidered part, was also silk organza, that I mark with diamond shape drawings, stitched in silver thread, that after were hand embroidered with very delicate buggle beads in crystal irisdecente finish. The original design was finish just on the cut, but I worried that my clients high and ultra fine shoes were going to damage it, that I lined it with bridal veil and finish the hem with an organza bies that I pull on both sides making it same as the flower. Then, that little top was cut all on the bies, I specially draw the diamonds so they are one continuous line, and for that reason they are smaller at the top part, and bigger at the hem. Same as the skirt, they were drawn by silver machine stritch and then all hand embroidered. The only machine stitch that the blouse has are the french seams on the sides. and the diamond shapes, but the rest…..well ….all was done by hand. Also it has a sash on the hip cut done in silk chiffon. I thank God for the result, and ….don`t you think my client looks like and angel?? Please visit me in my blog: Rainforestcouture

Adriana, Spectacularly Sewn!!! Love seeing your couture creations and reading information about quality fabrics, details used in your sewing projects, truly inspiring. Know you said it was a Chanel design but it was your couture skills that made it beautiful. Big Hug, Patti
